The Cover Story Method

Most founders try to 'get press'. The ones who land covers do something different: they build a single, defensible story arc that an editor cannot un-think once they have heard it. The Cover Story Method is the discipline of writing that arc on paper before a single pitch is sent.
We start with a story spine — a contradiction. ("A medical practice that operates like a couture house.") We layer three pieces of evidence under it (data, anecdote, image), and we lock down three settings where the story can be photographed. Only then do we approach a publication, and we approach exactly one: the title we want to define the founder.
The point is not the placement. The point is that every other publication then has a frame to follow. Once Vogue has called you a couture-house-of-medicine, Robb Report inherits the language. The first cover is the deed; the rest is the title transfer.
